
A delegation from CTS Horizon Sdn. Bhd. (“CTS”), led by Puan Zurinah Datuk Hanafiah, CEO, together with Puan Aines Ajik, Head of Business Development (BDD), Mr. Sheridan Hans Peter, Head of Network Planning and Design, and Puan Natasha Assan, Head of Human Resource (HR), paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Works and Utilities Sabah (KKRU) on 7 May 2026.
The delegation was warmly received by Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Joachim Gunsalam, Deputy Chief Minister cum State Works and Utility Minister. Discussions centred on exploring strategic collaboration to expand communications network coverage and further strengthen Sabah’s telecommunications infrastructure. The discussion also emphasised the importance of advancing the State’s digital ecosystem in line with the Government’s aspiration towards a more modern, competitive and digitally ready Sabah.
CTS also presented an overview of its services, network strengths and technical capabilities, alongside its renewed vision for digital infrastructure development across the State. The CEO also briefed Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Joachim Gunsalam on several key ongoing and completed projects, including CTS’s role as a fibre backhaul partner for U Mobile’s 5G rollout in Sabah. CTS’s involvement in key initiatives such as FTTx, JENDELA and POP2 programmes aimed at expanding internet coverage and enhancing digital access, particularly in rural and interior areas, was also highlighted.
The visit concluded on a positive and forward-looking note, with both parties expressing mutual commitment to strengthening collaboration and sustaining close engagement in advancing Sabah’s digital infrastructure and connectivity landscape in support of long-term socio-economic development.
