  • Approximately 12,000 km of fibre optic network deployed across Sabah and Labuan, strengthened through JENDELA and POP2 initiatives.
  • More than 2,000 Points of Presence (PoPs) across major cities, towns, and populated regions, achieving approximately 70% statewide coverage.

This extensive footprint enables CTS to support both urban demand and rural connectivity, including remote and hard-to-access locations.

Fully Protected Network
  • 100% of critical fibre routes protected using Auto Switching Optical Network (ASON), enabling fast traffic restoration and high service availability.
  • Global connectivity enabled through multiple IP transit providers, ensuring route diversity and international reach.
Massive Transport Capacity
  • Backbone engineered using advanced technologies including DWDM, MS-OTN, MPLS-TP, MSTP+, and carrier-grade routing platforms.
  • Core and trunk transport capacity supports up to 9.6 Tbps, with a scalable roadmap toward 32 Tbps to meet future demand.

This architecture ensures long-term scalability and readiness for high-bandwidth services, data centre interconnect, and 5G expansion.

Intelligent Monitoring & Real-Time Control

CTS integrates multiple enterprise-grade network management platforms to enable proactive, data-driven operations:
  • Geographical Information System (GIS) – end-to-end fibre route visibility and planning
  • Physical Network Inventory (PNI) – accurate asset availability and capacity tracking
  • Network Cloud Engine – performance analytics and optimisation
  • NetEco – power system monitoring and intelligence
  • PRTG – utilisation, traffic, and capacity monitoring
