KOTA KINABALU, 12 March 2026 – Celcom Timur (Sabah) Sdn. Bhd. (CTS) contributed RM1.1 million in zakat perniagaan for the 2025 financial year.

The contribution was presented to Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Yahya Haji Hussin, representing Majlis Ugama Islam Sabah (MUIS), and witnessed by Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman, Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, during a ceremony held at Istana Seri Kinabalu.

Representing CTS were Encik Mohamad Damshal Awang Damit, Chairman, and Encik Assan Nasip, Director, alongside the management team including Puan Zurinah Datuk Hanafiah, Chief Executive Officer, Encik Shaharul Niza Mohamad, Chief Financial Officer, and Puan Aines Ajik, Head of Business Development.

As a Sabah-based connectivity and digital infrastructure provider, CTS believes that technological advancement must go hand in hand with community well-being. While continuing to expand fibre optic infrastructure across the state, CTS remains committed to supporting asnaf groups and communities in need throughout Sabah.
